HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY SKIN BEFORE AND AFTER LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

DO LASER REMOVAL THE RIGHT WAY: LET TRI ZAP YOUR TATS!

We love zapping tats at Tattoo Removal Institute—and it shows. We’re here to give you some expert tips to help protect and care for your pre & post treatment skin to maximise your results!

Follow this advice, and your laser tattoo removal sessions are sure to go smoothly:

Pre-Treatment:

During your consultation, your laser technician will advise how to prepare for your Laser Tattoo Removal Session.

It is important to understand and follow a few recommendations before your Laser Tattoo Removal session to ensure your skin responds well to the laser and to get the best results possible!

  • Avoid sun and keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. Regularly apply TRI’s Defence Cream or SPF 30+ to the area up to 4 weeks prior.

  • Reduce/ stop smoking up to 4 weeks prior.

  • Avoid waxing and/or use of chemical depilatories to the area up to 2 weeks prior.

  • Shave the area 24 hours prior to treatment.

  • Ensure no fitted clothing is worn on the area where the tattoo is being removed. We suggest arriving with loose fitting clothing to prevent rubbing or irritation after treatment.

  • Topical Anaesthetic can be applied to numb the surface or body part prior to treatment. We recommend applying the topical anaesthetic at least 1 hour before treatment. You can purchase a clinical strength topical anesthetic cream or numbing cream application prior to your treatment from our Parramatta clinic.

Post-Treatment:

Tattoo Removal Institute have developed a guide that you’ll be given after your Laser Tattoo Removal Session to take home and help care for your skin post treatment so you can maximise your results!
